Will I Need Planning Permission For My Canopy?
Planning permission is generally not required for most installations, but requirements vary depending on the structure and location. We recommend checking with your local council before installation, especially near property boundaries, at the front of your home, or within conservation areas.
Clients are responsible for confirming and obtaining all necessary
permissions and approvals.
Who Carries Out the Installation?
At Garden House Design, exceptional installation is as important as exceptional design. Our experienced team takes pride in precision, using premium materials and meticulous attention to detail to ensure every element is finished to the highest standard. The result is a beautifully executed outdoor space, built for lasting quality and enjoyment.

How Does Rainwater Drain from the Canopy?
Rainwater is discreetly channelled through integrated drainpipes within your chosen columns, keeping the design clean and uncluttered. For roof sections of 16 m² or more, at least two drainage outlets are required per section. Smaller roof sections require at least one outlet, positioned on the lowest side of the blades, away from the motor.
Should I Choose a Modular or Bespoke Outdoor Kitchen?
Both modular and bespoke outdoor kitchens offer distinct advantages, with the right choice depending on your space, personal style and vision for outdoor living.
Modular Outdoor Kitchens
Our modular collections, including Roostr, Blenheim and Vlaze, offer a refined approach to outdoor cooking, combining considered design with practicality and flexibility. With a selection of configurations, finishes and features available, modular kitchens provide a stylish, streamlined solution for creating an outdoor entertaining space, often with a shorter installation time.
Bespoke Outdoor Kitchens
For a more individual approach, our bespoke collections, including Cubic, Oliveti and König, offer greater scope for personalisation. From tailored dimensions and premium materials to carefully selected appliances and finishes, bespoke designs can be created to complement the architecture of your home and integrate seamlessly with your garden.
Whether you prefer the simplicity of a modular design or the freedom of a bespoke creation, both options can transform your outdoor space into an inviting setting for cooking, entertaining and enjoying more time outdoors.
The best choice ultimately comes down to how you want your outdoor kitchen to look, feel and function, both now and for years to come.
