Roostr and Garden House Design have been partnering for years now and we are so proud to have the Roostr Rubix displayed in our Ferring showroom, and if you saw us at the RHS Chelsea Flower show this year, you would’ve spotted the Roostr Wave under one of our canopies. But between worktop colours and textures, choosing the right modules and getting what you need from the kitchen- it can get a little overwhelming. That’s why Garden House Design is here, to make it easy for you! We’ve laid out everything you possibly need in order to get your perfect results- because of course each kitchen is custom ordered to your wishes and why would we want anything less for our clients.
The first steps are choosing which kitchen is going to fit your style and garden space best. Are you looking for a modular design, a kitchen that is made and configured the way you want? If that’s adding a sink and tap, refrigeration space, cooking elements or storage. Ideal for outdoor barbecuing and hosting guests. If you're wanting something dynamic and sleek looking, then the Roostr Rubix outdoor kitchen is perfect for you.
If you’re looking for something more soft and minimalistic- yet still completely functional, why not take a look at the Wave. With its curved edges, built-in LED lighting, elegant scalloped feature panel, and built-in Big Green Egg, the Wave is perfect for intimate evenings with friends.
Next, let’s think about the size and shape you want for your outdoor kitchen. With help from the Garden House Design team, we can advise on what shape and size kitchen would be best for you. Whether your outdoor kitchen is sitting underneath one of our beautiful canopies or if you’re creating a space specifically for cooking, dining and entertaining.
The Rubix outdoor kitchen offers diversity and range when creating your personal shape and size, including L-shaped kitchens. Of course you can still add on the extra appliances and even after years, if you decide that you want to extend the kitchen you can- thanks to the modular design.
Starting with the Duo module, the Wave is available from 1.8m and can be extended up to 3.2m for the Cuatro. Or if you're looking for a versatile and elegant bar option, the Cuatro Bar has an overhang on one side, great for fitting everyone around the kitchen island and making memories.

Now, we can begin to think about colours and worktops. Roostr has so many options for you to choose from, and you really can’t go wrong with any of them. But it’s important to think about the colours you choose, and think about them in your garden specifically. You may fall in love with some colours, but if it doesn’t gel with the rest of your garden then your outdoor kitchen will look out of place.
It’s important to remember, the colours of the Dekton worktops may look different online compared to in daylight and nighttime, and depending on the direction of your garden or outdoor space. Make sure to visit our showroom to get a real feel of the colours and textures, in our selection of samples, and the Rubix outdoor kitchen we have on display.
If you’re looking for something with a big visual impact, we would steer you towards ‘Dekton Laurent’ or ‘Dekton Sabbia’ for the Rubix. For the Wave we would recommend ‘Dekton Khalo’ or ‘Dekton Reverie’. If you’re looking for something more subtle that will blend seamlessly into your garden space, we recommend ‘Dekton Ava’ or ‘Dekton Sirius’ for the Rubix, or ‘Dekton Marble’ or ‘Dekton Kira’ for the Wave.
